Harris County Transit currently offers a free shared ride taxi program to serve elderly and or disabled residents living outside the Houston Metro service area. This program is currently limited to medical trips only for the Harris county area.
Reservations must be made within 24 hours of the trip date but can be made as much as 30 days in advance. The hours of operation for this service are 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday except county holidays. For information on this service please call 713-696-1991
